  Independent and accessible advocacy made simple. Central Advocacy Partners provides advocacy for people in Forth Valley who have a learning disability or autism. We are a long established charity who focus on building powerful relationships with the advocacy partners we provide advocacy for. Independent advocacy is when somebody helps you to put your point of view across. This can help if you are finding it difficult to be heard, or are feeling frustrated about issues you cannot resolve. An independent advocate is someone who gets to know you and understand your point of view and then advocates that point of view as if it were their own. They might come to meetings with you and make sure that what you want to say is more likely to be heard. They will never speak to people about your wishes without consent, unless you are at risk.
