One of the National Guard service personnel shot in Washington DC on Wednesday has died, Donald Trump has said.
The US president said the female member, identified earlier as Sarah Beckstrom, 20, had died from her injuries.
The other who was shot, Andrew Wolfe, 24, is in a critical condition.
The suspected gunman, Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, is in a serious condition, Mr Trump added.
