Andy Wheildon

Presenter of Late Night Love Songs (Monday to Thursday) and one of the presenters of The Healthy Breakfast Show - Thursday. 

Andy is currently our Presentation and Programme Manager on the Exec along side Danny Wheildon, his son. Andy graduated with a degree in Engineering from Trent Polytechnic in Nottingham and has worked in Banking and Insurance. When not volunteering at Radio Royal he can be found down the allotment when the weather is kind. He enjoys engraving and woodcutting. He has built a three foot tall Eiffel Tower and a smaller Notre-Dame. One of his greatest achievements is writing a book called ‘Studying Form’ and having it published (available to buy on Amazon)! 

Recently, Andy has taken on the role of fundraising manager here at Radio Royal as well. If you ever have a spare dollar in your back pocket, please consider the charity Radio Royal.

Andy describes himself as observant, pedantic and trustworthy. His dream interviewee would be  Stephen Fry as long as Mr Fry kept his answers brief. The Electric Light Orchestra is Andy's favourite band and his favourite song either Jungle or Mr Blue Sky from the album Out Of The Blue (it depends on how loud he can play the track).
