Trump says health check 'perfect' after scrutiny over rash

Donald Trump has claimed "everything checked out perfectly" after a physical exam - despite growing public attention on the US president's health.

In a post on Truth Social on Tuesday, Trump thanked the "great doctors and staff" at Walter Reed Military Medical Center in Maryland.

"Heading back to the White House," he added.

The president shared no further information about his health, which has been the subject of growing scrutiny from critics since the start of his second term.

Recent photographs showed a blotchy neck ‌rash, following images in July 2025 of swollen ankles and a bruised hand concealed with makeup.

The visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center was Trump's third in 13 months.

Trump maintains a busy golf schedule, but joked about his relative lack of exercise at a recent Oval Office event where his health secretary, Robert F Kennedy Jr, said the president walks nine miles every time he plays golf.

"When I am not using the cart," Trump said.

Sean Barbabella, the White House physician, said that the president is now using "a preventative skin ‌treatment" to address his neck rash.

After the photographs of the president's legs and hands were published last July, Barbabella said in a letter the ailments were benign and that there ‌was no evidence of deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease.

Trump's leg swelling was from a "common" vein condition, and his hand was bruised from shaking so many hands, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt told reporters.
